One of the top prospects for 2010 left on the board, Cleveland Melvin is in the process of deciding on his next home. The six-foot-eight forward decommitted from Connecticut earlier this summer, as he was looking to play the three, and the Huskies’ had plans to play him at the four. Two Big East schools, along with a Conference USA school are the finalists for Melvin.

Ivan Tchatchouwo fought back from injuries suffered his junior year to put together a solid senior season. Various JUCO and Division II and Division III schools paid close attention, such as Fayetteville State, Oakland U, Molloy College and Lynn U. However, one school has really stepped to the forefront.

Moreland obtains release from UTEP PDF Print E-mail

This past November, Eric Moreland decided that his college destination would be UTEP. As he was academically set, he was able to leave Ocean Academy in New Jersey and enroll at UTEP at mid-year. The plan was to redshirt for one semester and begin playing his freshman year in the fall of 2010. When Tony Barbee took the head coaching job at Auburn, Moreland felt the need to look elsewhere. This past week, UTEP granted Moreland his release. At this present time, Moreland is working on his hardship request, and has hope that it will be granted, so he can get on the court this fall.

He was a player who came into high school with a scouting report of an athletic wing, who has high potential and was in the discussion as one of the top prospects in his class for the state of Illinois. However, it has not been an easy road for six-foot-five Jacob Williams, as there have been some issues along the way, along with concerns about the consistency about his game.

At the end of March, new Seton Hall Head Coach Kevin Willard landed the services of six-foot-eight Anali Okoloji. PrepPhenoms got a chance to ask Okoloji a few questions about his past year, improvements he made during his post graduate year, and why Seton Hall was the right place for him.
